Our therapists draw from therapeutic modalities that are rooted in these principles and grounded in the latest empirical research in attachment, trauma, affective neuroscience, embodiment and healing. These therapies include, Emotion Focused Therapy for individuals and couples (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Lifespan Integration (LI), Observed Experiential Integration (OEI), Somatic Experiencing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-based approaches. As professional clinicians, we are passionate and committed to growth and training in ongoing research and treatment development.
Verity Counselling is an online psychotherapy practice, with its headquarters located in beautiful Collingwood, Ontario. We are looking for a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker to join our team. It is our hope that this individual will embody the heart and soul of Verity: passionately yourself and committed to journeying with others as they reconnect with their true selves.
The ideal candidate will have:
Masters level training in counselling psychology or related field
2-5 years experience providing individual psychotherapy services
Must be fully registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
Must have proof of liability insurance within the province of Ontario
Training in and experience practicing from evidence-based modalities such as Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and compassion based interventions, and trauma processing therapies (EMDR, OEI, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor, Lifespan Integration)
A fundamentally client-centered and non-pathologizing approach to care
Has a desire to be a part of a close knit team of psychotherapists and values both clinical and personal growth
Has a desire to be a part of a growing practice
Excellent case conceptualization skills
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Reliable and strong organizational skills
Flexibility for both daytime and evening work
Access to secure office space and reliable internet connection in order to provide psychotherapy services via secure video and at times via the telephone
